James's Expertise

Assisting individuals with the ever changing property tax legislation, particularly for residential landlords in all areas of property taxation. He has a keen interest in IT and utilising its application to help clients reduce administrative burdens, allowing them to focus on running their business. James also has expertise in creative industries tax relief for corporates.

James acts for a broad spectrum of clients including large businesses within the music, film and video game industries with specialised tax reliefs. He also enjoys assisting sole traders looking to grow their business and other types of client such as high net worth individuals and models working worldwide navigating overseas tax legislation.

The Route to Manningtons

James trained and qualified with Manningtons, specialising in VAT throughout his progression within the firm. He became an associate in 2014 and subsequently a partner in 2017.

James is an ACA (Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales)

Interests outside work

Holding a private pilot’s licence, James enjoys flying when time allows. He also enjoys clay pigeon shooting, outdoor pursuits and spending time with his young family at the weekends.
